#HarrisMiddleSchool Tennis had a very successful day at the CTC Individual and Doubles Tennis Championships Tournaments on Thursday, May 14. Ethan Grimes was a finalist in the CTC Boys Varsity Tennis Singles Tournament, falling 6-7. Sophia Grimes is the CTC Girls Varsity Tennis Singles Champion after a 6-2 win in the finals. Thinson Ha and Elijah "Shaggy" Keffer are the CTC Boys Varsity Tennis Doubles Champions with a 6-2 win in the finals. Elan Grijalva and Luna Zamudio were finalists in CTC Girls Varsity Tennis Doubles Tournament. Oliver Bulger was a finalist in CTC Boys Junior Varsity Tennis Singles Tournament. Both Adaley Anchondo and Millie Lawell made it to the finals of the CTC Girls Junior Varsity Tennis Singles Tournament. Adaley is the CTC Girls Junior Varsity Tennis Singles Champion after earning a 6-3 win. Congratulations to Sophia, Adaley, Thinson, Elijah, Ethan, Elan, Luna, Oliver, and Maddie for making the finals today and a second congratulations to Sophia, Adaley, Thinson, and Elijah on winning championships. 2026-2027 HMS Cheerleading Squad
#HarrisMiddleSchool Theater will be holding tryouts on Friday, May 15, 2026 from 3:15pm-5:30pm in the #HMS Auditorium for their fall play.

This tryout is open to all returning cast members and to anyone who would like to be a member of HMS Theater that will be a 6th-8th grade student at Harris Middle School during the 2026-2027 school year and to any home school students who will be zoned for HMS for the 2026-2027 school year.

Parents/guardians will need to pick their students up on the car rider side of the back of HMS, which is the side of the school closest to Learning Way Elementary.

#HarrisMiddleSchool will be holding tryouts for the #HMS Girls Basketball Team on Thursday, May 28 and Friday, May 29 from 5:15pm-7:15pm both nights.

Tryouts are open to all students who will be in 6th-8th grade during the 2026-2027 school year who will be attending either Harris Middle or Thomas Magnet and also home school students who are zoned for #HMS.

Those attending tryouts are expected to bring athletic clothing, basketball shoes, a water bottle, a positive attitude, be ready to work hard and to hustle, and they must have a sports physical dated April 15, 2026 or later.

Those planning to tryout must attend tryouts both days.
