She is the organizer supreme and has us all filed correctly. She is great with the students and staff and the parents have no complaints. She is efficient and succinct. Last night, families and community members gathered at #LibertySchool for another Town Hall with Superintendent Tim Harwell. He shared more about his background and experience, discussed the importance of public schools and serving our #students, and shared his vision for the future of #BedfordCountySchools.

🎯 Three key goals were highlighted:
📚 Increase early literacy so students are reading on grade level by 3rd grade;
📈 Improve academic performance in middle schools;
🎓 Expand CTE and dual enrollment opportunities to strengthen college and career readiness.

The conversation also included questions about faith-based items in schools, future growth and a future high school near Liberty School, along with discussions about the district’s budget and planning for the future.

Most importantly, these Town Halls are providing an opportunity for families and community members to ask questions, share their perspectives and be part of the conversation about the future of our schools.
