BCLA wants to welcome Wendy Knight, our new 2025-2026 high school math teacher. Mrs. Knight has been married to her husband, Chris, for almost 23 years. They have four children and two grandchildren. They have their own private petting zoo with goats, chickens, ducks, rats, reptiles and a donkey named Ken. Mrs. Knight loves gardening, arts and crafts, theology and loves to explore and admire the flora and fauna of nature.
Wendy Knight has been in a teaching role for most of her entire life in areas ranging from Sunday School, pre-calculus, technical skills and, most importantly, while raising her children.
What does Mrs. Knight expect this year? A lot of challenges that she hasn’t seen for a long time, but she expects to find the camaraderie and support from her new family at BCLA since we all share the same love towards the specialized students we receive here at BCLA.
As a matter of fact, that was one reason why she was drawn to our school, she heard great things about our industrious leader, Dr. King.
When asked about her why, Mrs. Knight expressed it perfectly when she replied, “Everyone is valuable.” She has a heart for students that may be struggling in different ways.
