Principal's Corner
Happy Holidays, everyone! It is surreal that we are already at the end of the first semester of the 2024-2025 school year. A peek at our most recent newsletter will show that at BCLA, we are putting in the work. We ended October with our second annual Wax Museum, and each year it just gets better and better. November allowed us to honor all veterans, but we took special pride in honoring the four veterans we see daily in our building. November also allowed us to learn daily facts during announcements about the contributions throughout history from Native Americans.
Our ongoing Tower of Books challenge warms my heart! The students, faculty, and staff at BCLA are devouring books, and this habit is increasing vocabulary, comprehension, fluency, and reading stamina. Unfortunately, in November, the BCLA family had to say goodbye to Mr. Papucci as our high school math teacher. We wish him well as he moves back to Alabama. BCLA welcomes Deputy Darrian Lanier as our new SRO.
Joyeaux Noel and Bonne Annee (French for Merry Christmas and Happy New Year)! I plan to travel to New Orleans to spend this holiday season with my family. Enjoy this festive season and make impactful memories.
